Project Description
CLIENT:
Kaiien @ 780 Upper Serangoon Road #02-11 Choon Kim House
PROJECT:
Creative Product Packaging
OBJECTIVE:
- Create a cost efficient product packaging design solution that is able to contain 4 types of optical frames.
- Design has to be engaging, intuitive and consistent with Kaiien’s “TRY-A-FRAME” retail marketing campaign.
- Design has to be sturdy enough for island wide delivery.
SOLUTION:
Since the customer experience of receiving the delivered product is crucial to the success of Kaiien’s “TRY-A-FRAME” retail marketing campaign, we recommended a design solution that is both engaging and fun. Much like a child opening up a Christmas present, we wanted prospective Kaiien customers to be thrilled to receive their trial frames. Moreover, spectacles may be fragile so we recommended using a material that is both cost efficient and suitable for island wide delivery. The end product packaging is made of 350gsm Ivory board with matt lamination on the printed side for added physical and water damage protection (Nobody wants to receive a damaged and soggy package!). Also, these colourful boxes were initially flat packed and therefore making storage a breeze for Kaiien. Furthermore, no pins, eyelets or straps were used in making of the product packaging which keeps the cost of production low. We’re quite certain that this is an immensely more exciting marketing strategy compared to delivering four separate spectacle cases.
EXTRA: Thank You Cards
Kaiien also has a range of thank you cards to include with all customer orders. Taking advantage of Wah Han’s VDP service, these cards are personalised for each customer and they work as mini-compliment slips. Besides, these cards can work as promotional discount cards or provide interesting glasses related information to attract new customers while rewarding regulars.
